RULES OF THE NIGHT

   

THE TENS RULING SYSTEM (SCORING GUIDELINES      DEDUCTED POINTS AWARDED FOR:

Judges scores will be:

   

There may be 1 point deducted by the referee or judge for:

Total annihilation should be scored

10 to 8  

Less than eight kicks per round.  A foul or other offence.

Winner of the round            

10 to 9  

Turning away. Head dangerously low.  For a standing count.

An even round                       

10 to 10  

Hitting while back is turned. Bell cuts out standing counts.

1 pt will be deducted for a knockdown.  

Competitor may only receive 2 standing counts in a round

 THE SAFETY OF COMPETITORS IS OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE

Legal target areas:   

Front and side of head, trunk of body above the belt, behind the ankle for sweep takedowns.

Illegal target areas:   

The back and top of head, neck, throat, all areas of the back.   (No kicking the legs)

Illegal Techniques:   

Spinning back-fist, hitting after stop, hitting when down, no holding or grabbing, Elbows, Knees, Head butts.

 

 IN THE EVENT OF AN INJURY DUE TO A (NO FAULT) ACCIDENT

I.E: Clash of heads, knee’s, shins resulting in a cut or damage: 
Option 1.  The points would be counted up to the clash and the result would be awarded to the fighter with the highest points score.  

Option 2.  Final decision of a “No Fight” would be the centre referees.

Safety Equipment: Boots, Shins, Mouth-guard. Head-guards. Boxing Gloves: Kids 6 or 8 oz, Ladies 10oz, Men 12oz

 
 REFEREE GUIDELINES
Referees Speech
“I want a good clean bout, don’t turn your back and defend yourselves at all times, break cleanly when I call break and good luck to both of you”. Touch Gloves and  step back.
 

Items to check for the Referee to oversee as Chief Official:

1. Ring,    2. Seating & Crowd Safety    3. Judges & Officials     4.  Matching up.   Check competitors clothing and safety equipment on their entry into the ring. 
Competitors must show to be defending themselves at all times.   • If you feel a competitor is in danger of being hurt you may stop the bout at any time.                  
A stunned competitor receives a standing 8 count, on 9 if competitor is down or still not ready to compete the bout is finished. 
A competitor may only receive 2 stunned standing counts, on the third one you end the bout.
The end of round bell will end a standing count and the competitor may return to their corner however the judges may still deduct 1 point.
In the Schoolchildren bouts an extra vigilance is expected of the Referee and the bout stopped if a competitor looks to be getting hurt or in danger of being hurt.
All competitors should be fit for the bout, the referee will stop the bout if it is felt a competitor is not fit enough to carry on.
