November
2007 Name: Leif Taggart Town:
Middlesborough, Cleveland. Style:
Scorpio Freestyle Kickboxing Coach: Gary Jowers
Nominated by: Sharon Taggart reason:
I have thought hard about nominating Leif as I felt people may
be think I am bias due to Leif being my son. I have filled in
this form so many times without submitting for that simple
reason but now I feel that showing Leif what he has done and
does everyday is noted. Leif has so much commitment and
dedication to every martial art he is a part of that he very
rarely has time for anything else, but that is how he likes it.
The part he likes best is competing and is never far away from a
competition. loll!. Leif loves instructing and works hard
on lesson plans etc. He loves to stand behind someone from
either of his clubs and them do well not just win but do well
and show good respect and attitude as that is something Leif
values most. We have often had comments on how proud we must be
of Leif that I decided to show how we are by finally filling in
and submitting the form.
Hope you are in agreement. Sharon Taggart.
Master Deadly:- I am definitely in agreement, Leif is a great
ambassador for our sport and well deserves this award. |

2007
Name: Hollie Roberts Town:
Brynna, South Wales Style: Brynna
School of Taekwondo Coach: Leanne Casley
Nominated by: Leanne Casley reason: Hollie
has been training with the school since we opened 1999. She is
1st Dan. She is a very dedicated student and very rarely misses
a class. She's started entering competitions this year and has
done extremely well. She has taken 2 golds,2 bronze in patterns,
1 gold,4 bronze in sparring. We have a warriors class at the
school which is held twice a week and Hollie teaches them. They
all look up to her, she has respect from everyone at the school
and they all learn from her. She is a lovely person and very
popular. She will do anything to help anyone and even the older
pupils ask Hollie for her help. She has been head hunted by
other schools to represent Wales in the World Championships
which were held last weekend. I am very proud of her as is the
rest of the class and I believe she deserves some recognition
for her commitment and all her hard work. (there's so much more
to say about her but not enough space) |
