500 competitors competing for the 200 Sections and the British Open Kumite Title.
Semi & Light-Contact, Forms / Katam, Self-Defence and Grappling
Doors open 11.30am “PRIZEMONEY in the Adult Kata and Semi-Contact”
Over 200 sections “NEW BEGINNERS CATEGORIES”
Cost Adults: £15 per section. Under 16yrs £10 per section.
£10 Adult Spectator ~ £5 -16yr Spectator

WUMA WORLD GAMES, AUGUST 2013
To be eligable to compete at the WUMA World Championships:
You have to either:
1. Been part of the squad in the past
2. or win an event in the last 2 years
3. or be picked by a senior WUMA Instructor
Venue: Geneva, Switzerland
Date: Fly out on 8th, back on the 12th. Event is 10th & 11th
Cost: Under 12yrs £449 Over 12yrs and adults £499
Includes: Flight, Hotel, Bus transrers & squad kit.

Even due to the snow we were packed here last sunday March 24th with 375 competitors !!!!!
loads had phoned and cancelled however we were pleased with such a good turnout.

The WUMA British Championships went well for 2012
Held in Cheltenham 300 competitors went for the Gold Cup with everyone competing for one of the 200 categories on offer within the Kata, Strike & Grapple and the Semi & Light-Contact.
I hope 2013 will be as good for our competitors.

ENGLISH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS July 29th

The English Open this year in Cheltenham was a brilliant competition with 475 competitors out to win the Gold Cup from the 200 categories on offer. The event ran like clockwork and finished at 8pm sharp. Not bad considering there were 200 categories to get through. The next event is the WUMA INTERNATIONAL OPEN to be held on September 16th Venue is Worcester. See the WUMA Calendar of events on the left for more information.

April 29th British Open Kumite Tournament

Wow! What a turnout for the books last Sunday , 557 competitors not including a large influx of spectators. This is certainly a turn around for WUMA and the British Competitions.
Two teams from Scotland and in the Masters Rodriguez Espinosa Jose Manuel of Spain took a credable 1st place, the Welsh were there in force yet again winning hoards of WUMA Trophies. Perhaps this is the credit crunch mending throughout the land. This has got us to sit back and re-think how we run each event. There will be some new changes for the better with a quicker start. New score boards, Category numbers set to each matt so competitors know what Matt and when they will be on. Even better quality trophies and awards. Bigger prizemoney. Improvement with the Referee structure.
NEXT EVENT IS:- THE ENGLISH OPEN ~ CHELTENHAM ~ JULY 29th ~ 200 categories and all competing for the Cheltenham Gold Cup. For Information go to the calendar section at www.wuma.uk.com
