Who are the IBU ? In the 1980's one of the British Breweries decided to form a task force to back up the pubs around the country that sometimes had to face gangs or some of the the bad people in our society that had taken over their premises at different times. Sergeant Major Baker was put in charge of operations. Mr Baker enrolled Richard Hopkins in the team and the rest is history. The task force travelled Britain sorting out pubs and clubs that had been taken over by drug gangs or controlling local families. For instance in Cardiff a pub with 3 large bar's and 2 restaurants had gone from taking £15,000 on a Saturday down to £2,000 as normal punters wanting a meal or a quiet drink wouldn't go in their due to the drugs name it had built up. In one month the task force cleared out the baddies and the taking's started to rise again. This lead onto many meeting's and talks as a lot of the task force were made up of bodyguards so hence the "IBU" was formed. Our first IBU Bodyguard course was October 1989 with 42 applicants from all across the world, this was very successful hence the IBU held 2 per year right up to 2006. Due to the SIA and CP Badges coming into force we decided to go operational ourselves as it was good money, we have since been hounded to get these courses re-started so here we are again. |

How does the AGENCY work ? The IBU have countrywide trained people who already have their SIA Badges for Retail - Static and Door Supervisors. And CP Badges of course! Once a member we expect you to let us know if there is any local security work going, we then contact our members and offer them the chance. We have a countrywide network of members that we value and look after whenever possible, once you sign up as a member you will become pert of the family. Always keep an eye on our message board as to what's going on within the IBU and if you have something on or need operatives let us know.
