Tips: SQUAD INFORMATION AND TIPS ~ PLEASE READ CAREFULLY Tips: Get your "EHIC" Card = (European Health Insurance Card) Get an application from the local post office, this is a free service so "do not pay" Tips: PASSPORT: Make sure you have one and bring it with you with no less than 6 months expiry date on it, ensure you have given us your full name and not "Nick names" At the airport customs if your Passport name is not on your ticket you will be refused entry onto the plane Tips: Acquire your own Travel Insurance, preferably including sport cover for the event, your GB Martial Arts Licence does not cover you for injury in other countries. nearer the time we will help you find a good deal.
Spectators will need normal travel Insurance. Tips: Being a Security Advisor most of my life please listen to me now and your items and valuables will be a lot safer during our trip. Do not leave your bags anywhere at anytime. Look after each others valuables at all times. Watch out for any strangers near any of the squad members Bags. Split your money up. Put some in your dirty socks, it can be hidden in your lining of your bag or case, some in your shoes that you wear or even acquire a body wallet that is attached under your clothing. Anywhere you can split and hide your money then do it. We have even had money pinched out of our Hotel safe in one country so bear that in mind to. Passport: once at the hotel please keep it locked away, do not go down town with it in your pocket, if it gets pinched or gets lost then that is down to you to sort out. Tips: If under 18yrs old and travelling alone then an adult from your club or association must sign to say they are taking care of you during the trip. We can't babysit ourselves as we have the whole squad to deal with. Once someone is assigned to you then we expect everyone to behave well at all times.
